A world-renowned applied mathematician and data technology expert, CBE honoree, founding trustee of the Allen Turing Institute. The Alan Turing Institute is the United Kingdom's national institute for data science and artificial intelligence, founded in 2015. It is named after Alan Turing, the British mathematician and computing pioneer.
Prof. Grindrod has obtained a bachelor of science degree in mathematics from the University of Bristol, a doctorate in mathematics from Dundee University, an honorary doctorate from the University of Strathclyde, and an honorary doctorate from Oxford Brookes University. He is currently a professor at Oxford University.
Prof. Grindrod has served in the National Research Funding Council of the United Kingdom, National Defence Science Advisory Committee, the National Institute of Intelligence and Data Science, the British Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC is a British Research Council that provides government funding for grants to undertake research and postgraduate degrees in engineering and the physical sciences, mainly to universities in the UK), the British Biotechnology and Biological Sciences Research Council (BBSRC is a non-departmental public body, and is the largest UK public funder of non-medical bioscience. It predominantly funds scientific research institutes and university research departments in the UK). Because of the outstanding contribution in the application of innovation in mathematics, he was awarded the Most Excellent Order of Commander of the British Empire by the British government. This award was established on 4 June 1917 by King George V. It is a British order of chivalry, rewarding contributions to the arts and sciences, work with charitable and welfare organizations, and public service outside the civil service.

Bruce has extensive experience in applying big data insights for market consultation and operational performance management. He is also an expert in helping companies to understand the market competition environment and business environment to formulate brand strategies through the monitoring and optimization of e-commerce platforms' output.
Bruce started at one of the world's largest data company when he joined Taiwan Nielsen in 2000. Nielsen is a global measurement and data analytics company that provides the most complete and trusted view available of consumers and markets worldwide, serving consumer products and service industries, as well as government and social institutions. As a company of S&P 500, Nielsen operates in more than 100 countries, covering more than 90% of the world's population. Bruce built his foundation for data analysis and big data technology when he used data to provide market strategies and enhance competitive advantages for multiple industries. In 2006, Bruce moved to Nielsen China and participated in global projects to expand Nielsen's retail data business market in China. During his time there, his team successfully completed data service cooperation with 200 retailers, designed and distributed data collection systems, across 20 provinces in China. In 2013, he was responsible for the P&L of the business unit in Nielsen China, and achieved remarkable results. In 2014, revenue increased by 18% to 90 million yuan.
Subsequently, Bruce led a strategy team to lead the innovation and design of big data products and successfully developed an online geographic location analysis platform using mobile data collection method to achieve revenue growth of more than 20%. It topped 120 million yuan earning the crown of being the top three major business units of Nielsen.
From 2009 to 2012, Lau became a senior partner of ASA Strategy Group. The group specializes in data mining and analysis business. They provided advanced big data analysis methods and technologies for the Chinese consumer market, retailers and suppliers and helping the brand development of for Asian and Chinese companies in multiple industries.

Su Li Ya

SU Li Ya has nearly 20 years of experience with international commercial banks and fintech companies. Her specialization covers the development of financial and business risk management systems and formulating risk strategies. Li Ya possesses an astute understanding of regulatory and governance requirements in the financial services industry. Li Ya’s rich practical experiences straddles the consumer and enterprise credit domains.
She was the Senior Regional Manager of the SME Anti-Fraud Department in the Risk Management Division of the DBS Bank’s Beijing Branch. During her time there, Li Ya successfully set up an automated system to counter fraud risks and also established anti-fraud policies and case management framework.
Until recently, Li Ya was a Senior Manager for Credit Approval with the Risk Management Division of HSBC and Standard Chartered Bank. During her stint in these global banks, she participated in the development of several new products at multiple locations in China. Li Ya was a distinguished member of the team that developed a landmark product named “Xiandaipai”, originated the first automatic online approval of personal credit facilities. It was the first of its kind to achieve this accolade in the market.
She joined an online lending firm as the Director of Risk Strategy in the Financial Technology Department. Through the innovative use of big data and artificial intelligence and other technological means, she successfully developed intelligent solutions for consumer financial products.
